• Call for Nominations

  Dear Fellow Toastmasters in District 87,

  It is time for the District to call for nominations for members to serve District 87 for the term 2012 - 2013. The term of service is from 1st July 2012 to 30th June 2013.

  Nominations are sought for the following offices:
  
  1.         District Governor 
  2.         Lieutenant Governor Education & Training 
  3.         Lieutenant Governor Marketing 
  4.         Division Governors for Divisions D, E, G, H, I, J & K
  
  Salient points to note:

  • Ensure your nominee meets the minimum qualification requirements prior to submitting the nomination.
  • Complete the attached Officer Nomination Form and Officer Agreement Release Form and email them to:

• Kota Kinabalu 2012 District 87 Annual Toastmasters Convention

  

  There are a lot of events happening in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, in May 2012. There are not to be missed. If you really have to choose one event to attend, this one will be it.

• Journey of a Toastmaster

  

  Never would I think that it is possible to reach the top recognition of the Toastmasters International – as a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM).

  I still can recall vividly my first encounter with Sandakan Toastmasters Club:

  I was working for the venue hotel where Sandakan Toastmasters regularly met, and aware that there is a club call “Sandakan Toastmasters Club”, but I had no idea what was the club about.
